The present author have studied and translated Manjusri-buddha-ksetra-guna-vyuhalamkara from Tibetan(Toh. No.59, P. No.760.15, T. Nos. 310.15, 318, 319), which is one of the famous Pure land Sutra, all in the Maharatnakuta Collection, the great collection of the Mahayana Sutras. This Sutra has the explanatory character ; we can find the teachings of non-duality, and the Bodhisattva-Precepts, and our choosing the Buddha lands to birth etc. Above all things this Sutra is probably the origin of the tradition of the Surge practice(Tib.Rlabs chen spyod brgyud)in Indo-Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism. I atempt to show the magnificient world of Manjusri Bodhisattva through translating and study of this Pure Land Sutra. |
